Portugal's Pavilion featuring Thermacork at the 2010 Shanghai Expo

The 2010 Shanghai Expo featured outstanding Pavilions from 79 different countries that embodied the theme of "BetterCity - Better Life." The Portuguese Pavilion was designed by architect Carlos Couto, who highlighted the importance of a city's sustainable future by utilizing Portugal's national, renewable and recyclable cork material as an impressive and innovative facade. Portugal's design also received the Red Dot Award, which is considered to be one of the most notable awards in design.
